Keynote Speakers
We are excited to have two highly impactful keynote speakers from Germany this year.
Eva-Lotta Brakemeier, PhD
Eva-Lotta Brakemeier is a Professor of Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Psychologische Hochschule Berlin (PHB), Germany. Starting in May 2016, she will be Professor of Psychotherapy Research at the Philipps-University of Marburg, Germany.
Her main research interests are located in the field of psychotherapy research, in particular on inpatient psychotherapy, group therapy, stepped-care/sequential approaches, differential indication/efficacy, modern psychotherapies (e.g., Cognitive Behavioral Analysis System of Psychotherapy; CBASP), E-Health, and side effects of psychotherapy. Concerning the population, she is interested in (chronic) depression, generally treatment-resistant patients, patients with high comorbidity, old patients, and traumatized refugees. One of her special interest refers to the Interpersonal Circumplex (IPC). By treating patients with CBASP, she experienced how helpful the use of the IPC is for the mostly submissive and/or hostile patients with chronic depression. Thus, she is investigating changes of patients’ interpersonal impact messages during CBASP.
