The
conference website (sitar2014.weebly.com/) has specific details about travel,
accommodations, the conference site, membership, registration, submitting a
presentation, and student travel and Wiggins awards. Information about the
program will be forthcoming.
There are a number of hotels in the area. We have locked in a special SITAR rate at the New Haven Hotel (203-498-3100) of $139 per night. Rooms are available at this rate until May 6 or until our block is filled, so we recommend that you book sooner rather than later. Other recommended options include The Omni and The Study Hotels.
The variety of routes to New Haven represents one of the more exciting features of this year’s SITAR. For most travelers, the journey will involve flying to New York or Hartford and taking a car, bus, or train into New Haven. Rest assured that these systems are smooth and efficient. Further details are available at sitar2014.weebly.com/travel-and-accommodations.
There are three possible types of submissions to SITAR: posters, papers, or panels of papers with a common theme. Proposals can be submitted at sitar2014.weebly.com/submissions. Proposals are due February 15, 2014, with the goal of having a program set by March 1.
Sitar2014.weebly.com also contains information for students, including application portals for travel grants and for being considered for the 2014 Jerry S. Wiggins Award for Outstanding Interpersonal Research by a Student.
I look forward to seeing you in New Haven. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions about the meeting.
